Creating a table plan

The table plan is the heart of a hospitality till: one glance shows which tables are free (green), which have an open bill (light blue), which are being paid (orange) and which haven't been checked on for a while (flashing red). You draw the plan yourself on your pre-installed till.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the floor plan editor

Go to Settings and tap the Edit floor plan tile. Existing plans are under the Tables tab; create a new one per room, terrace or floor.

  2. 2

    Place tables

Choose a shape — square, rectangle or round — and drag the table into place. Drag the corner to resize it to match the real room.

  3. 3

    Set table number and seats

Tap a table and enter the table number and number of covers. The seat count is used for automatic table assignment of reservations.

  4. 4

    Add a background and props

Upload a floor plan drawing or pick a background from the library, then add partitions, planters and other props. Set the table transparency so the background stays visible.

  5. 5

    Save and test

Save the plan and open Quick checkout. Tap a table: the product screen opens, and after Order you're automatically returned to the plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can I create multiple floor plans?

Yes. You can create unlimited floor plans, for example for the restaurant, the terrace and the upstairs room. They appear as a submenu under the Tables tab.

What do the table colours mean?

Green is an empty table, light blue means there's an open amount, orange means the table is being paid, and flashing red shows that no order has been added for a while.

Does the floor plan also work on a handheld?

On handhelds you work with table tiles instead of the floor plan, so you can pick the right table faster on a phone screen.
