Pairing a handheld via QR code
Every handheld gets its own QR code, so you can see exactly which device sent which order. We deliver the Android handhelds pre-installed and paired to the same wifi network as the till.
Step by step

Create the handheld
Go to Settings › Handhelds and add a new device with a recognisable name, for example 'Terrace 1'.

Show the QR code
Open that device's unique QR code. Every handheld has its own code; don't share one code across multiple phones.

Scan with the phone
Scan the code with the phone's camera. The handheld app opens immediately and the device is paired to your till.

Ready to use
The handheld is pre-installed by us and always starts full-screen, with no address bar and no visible menu.

Send the order
Pick a table tile, ring up products and tap Send at the bottom. The ticket automatically prints at the paired kitchen or bar printer.
Good to know
- Make sure the phone and till are on the same wifi network; a guest network often blocks traffic between devices.
- Every plan includes one handheld; extra handhelds are added for a surcharge.
- Lost a phone? Remove that handheld and the code stops working.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install an app myself?
No. We deliver the handheld pre-installed and paired; the device opens immediately full-screen, ready to use.
How many handhelds can I pair?
One handheld is included with your plan by default; extra devices are paired for a surcharge, with no maximum.
Does the handheld work without internet?
The handheld communicates with your till over the local wifi network. Make sure there's stable coverage in the room and on the terrace.
